Sheephaven Credit Union committees offer an excellent starting point for new volunteers. These committees provide experience, learning and an active role within the credit union. Below is a list of Committees where we require volunteers from time to time.

Board of Directors, Oversight Committee, Credit Committee and Credit Control Committee.

The expected time commitment is approximately 8 hours per month*.

For anyone looking to further their career in a managerial role or as a director of a company, serving on the board of your credit union for a couple of years would provide excellent experience and would be a good addition to your CV.

To volunteer just complete the volunteer form which you can download on the link below and return it for the Attention of the nominations Committee, Sheephaven Credit Union Limited, Carrigart, Co. Donegal. All nominations will go to the nominations committee for approval.

You will then be placed on a panel and called as required.

A full training programme will be provided with the option for new volunteers to undertake further study should they wish to do so. Reasonable course expenses will be paid for by the credit union when approved by the board. For example, you may wish to take the Certificate in Credit Union Governance & Compliance with the LIA (see www.lia.ie)

*The expected time commitment does not include any additional study that you may wish to undertake.
