You may become a member of Sheephaven Credit Union if you live in the surrounding areas which include Carrigart, Cranford, Downings, Glen, Creeslough and Dunfanaghy.

Membership of the Credit Union may be held solely, jointly or by a group or society. Persons under sixteen years of age may hold a minor membership.

People who are resident in the areas of Carrigart, Cranford, Downings, Glen, Creeslough and Dunfanaghy are eligible to join. Learn more about our Common Bond.

To become a member you will need to fill in Membership Application Form, which you can download by clicking on the link below, and bring it with you to credit union office along with following documents:

  1. Photo ID - Passport, Drivers Licence, or Garda National Age Card.
  2. Proof of Address - Utility Bill , Head of a Bank Statement, etc (dated in the last 6 months).
  3. Proof of PPSN - Printed Payslip, Letter from Revenue, Medical Card, etc. (we are unable to accept the new Social Services Card).
  4. €6.35 - to activate Membership
  5. €1.27 - once off Membership Fee

This is to ensure that Sheephaven Credit Union complies with the Criminal Justice Act 1994 and the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Acts 2010 to 2021.

Sheephaven Credit Union allows people in the community to come together to save and borrow money at low rates. It is operated on a not-for-profit basis, with any surpluses being returned to members in the form of yearly dividends.

Pay Your Bills by Direct Debit from your Credit Union Account

Pay all your bills by Direct Debit from your Credit Union ACCESS account. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST HAVE AN ACCESS ACCOUNT. Simple to arrange, just ask a member of staff or give us a call on 074 9155866. We don't charge for this service.
